Frequently asked questions

Self-assessment is a system used by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to collect income tax. If you're self-employed, a landlord, or have other income outside of your regular employment, you may need to complete a self-assessment tax return.

Doing a self-assessment is hard and takes time. An accountant makes it easier, checks for mistakes, and might find ways to save you money on taxes. They help you through the process and make sure everything is accurate.

Our tax help package includes checking your money coming in and going out, figuring out how much tax you owe, submitting the tax form, and talking to the tax office for you. We take care of everything related to your taxes.

To sign up for self-assessment tax returns in the UK, check if you need to, then go to the HMRC website to register. They'll give you a special reference number. Use a code they send you to set up your online account. Finally, fill in your income and expenses either online or on paper.

Yes, you can do your tax return online on the HMRC website. It's easy and quick. You can send it right away, figure out how much tax you owe, and get confirmation right after.

To get money back on your taxes with self-assessment, tell them about things you spent money on. For example, if you work for yourself, mention work costs. If you give money to charity and they can claim Gift Aid, tell them. Keep receipts to prove what you say.
